Day by Day Itinerary
Upon your arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you’ll be picked up by our team and transferred to your hotel in Arusha. You’ll meet your safari guide and have a briefing on the trip ahead.
Day 2: Serengeti National Park
The next few days will be spent exploring the wilderness as you travel to the Serengeti National Park after breakfast. Tarangire National Park and Lake Manyara National Park are both passed through on the drive, which in and of itself is a safari. After arriving in the Serengeti in the late afternoon, you’ll go on a game drive in the evening before setting up camp.
Day 3-5: Wildebeest Calving Season
Explore the plains and the wildebeest calving season for three whole days in the Serengeti National Park. Your knowledgeable guide will take you to the best locations to see the young wildebeest and their interactions with lions, cheetahs, and hyenas, among other predators.
Day 6: Ngorongoro Conservation Area
You will leave the Serengeti after breakfast and travel to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. You’ll have the chance to stop along the way at a Maasai village to learn about their culture and way of life. On the edge of the Ngorongoro Crater, you will spend the night at a lodge.
For a full-day game drive today, you’ll enter the Ngorongoro Crater. A wide variety of animals, including lions, elephants, and the critically endangered black rhino, can be found in the crater. Following your game drive, you’ll head back to Arusha for a final dinner before leaving the following morning.
You’ll be transferred to the airport for your flight home, or you can choose to extend your stay in Tanzania and explore more of this beautiful country.
