Great Migration during the calving and beach holiday is the main fucus of this tour. Travelers taking this tour will see lots of newly born animals in Ndutu special area (in this area off-road driving is permitted to enable the visitors to see the animals very close). The great migration attracts lots of predators like lions cheetahs, hyenas and leopards making Ndutu the best place to see hunting predators in the whole of Africa. It is the best tour for those who want to see predators in action.

Day 1: Town tour, Elephants Orphanage

We will pick you up from Kilimanjaro airport and transfer you to Ambureni coffee lodge for dinner and overnight. If time allows you will visit Ivory Orphans. This is a new and the first elephant orphanage in Tanzania which has just been opened to save lives of the innocent baby elephants whose mothers have been killed by poachers for ivory. Elephant poaching has become serious in Tanzania in recent years.

Day 2: Flamingos, Forest hiking to waterfall

After breakfast drive to Arusha national park for a morning game drive. In this small but beautiful park of the slope of Mount Meru you will have opportunity to see lots of rare black and white colobus monkeys, giraffes, antelopes flamingos in the lake and many more. You will also visit Ngurdoto crater which has an amazing scenery. Arusha national park is also the best place to see Mount Kilimanjaro (the highest mountain in Africa). After your picnic lunch you will do a forest hiking to Tululusia waterfall, accompanied by an armed ranger. This is a great opportunity for you to learn about different plants with their medicinal uses, insects and animal tracks. Canoe ride in the Momela lake and that is a great opportunity for you to see the pink flamingos in the lake up close. In the late afternoon you will return to Ambureni coffee lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Village walk, Game drive

After breakfast you will drive to Mtowambu for a guided village walk. In this small but busy village you will have opportunity to interact with the local community and learn about their daily life. You will visit traditional beer bars, banana and rice fields and a traditional family home. You will then continue to Lake Manyara national park for game drive with picnic lunch. This park has the largest concentration of monkeys. Other animals include giraffes, hippos, elephants, impalas, dik dik, the rare tree climbing lions and other animals. You will then return to Eileen’s trees inn for dinner and overnight.

Day 4: Great migration, hunting predators

After breakfast you will drive to Ndutu Mbugani camp for lunch. In the afternoon depart for game drive in Ndutu area. This is the area along the boundary of Ngorongoro and Serengeti where the Great Migration is suppose to be between December and April. It is where these millions of animals will drop their young ones because the area is open and has highly nutritious grass. The great migration attracts lots of predators and you will expect to see lots of excitement like hunting, chasing, young ones being born etc. This will be the highlight of the entire trip. You will have two nights/three days to explore this special area where off road driving is permitted to allow you observe these adventures up close. We recommend you start your game drives very early in the morning to be successful. All meals and overnight will be at Ndutu Mbugani camp.

Day 5: Great migration, Hunting predators

The whole day spent exploring Ndutu area. This is the area along the boundary of Ngorongoro and Serengeti where the Great Migration is suppose to be between December and April. It is where these millions of animals will drop their young ones because the area is open and has highly nutritious grass. The great migration attracts lots of predators and you will expect to see lots of excitement like hunting, chasing, young ones being born etc. All meals and overnight will be at Ndutu Mbugani camp.

Day 6: The rare black rhino, The crater

After early breakfast you will drive to The Ngorongoro crater for game drive on the floor of the crater, with picnic lunch. This will be the best place for you to see the endangered black rhino (less than 1,000 black rhinos remain in the wild on earth. Other animals include, hyenas, lions, warthogs, jackals, pink flamingos in the lake and lots more. In the late afternoon you will continue to Eileen trees inn for dinner and overnight.

Day 7: Stone town

After breakfast you will drive back to Arusha for lunch, then continue to Arusha airport for your flight to Zanzibar. Upon arrival in Zanzibar we will pick you you up and drive you to the historical Stone town for a tour. In the late afternoon we will drive you to Zan view hotel for dinner and overnight.

Day 8: Leisure at the beach

The whole day spent relaxing at the beautiful Zanzibar beach. You may decide to do some optional activities like scuba diving, village walk, snorkeling and others. You will simply book these activities with the resort. All meals and overnight will be at Zan view hotel.

Day 9: Turtles, Spices, Dolphins

After breakfast visit spice plantations to learn about African spices (Zanzibar spices are very famous in the world). You will then do a tour in Prison Island to see the oldest turtles in East Africa. You will also do a Dolphin tour before you return to Zan view hotel for dinner and overnight.

Day 10: Departure

After breakfast we will transfer you to Zanzibar airport and you will fly to Dar es Salaam to connect your international flight and return home. There are flights from Zanzibar to Dart es Salaam almost every two hours, therefore your departure time from Zanzibar will mostly depend on your international flight connecting time.
